HA! Talking about myself. Anyone who knows me best will tell you that I love myself, and anyone who knows me better than those who know me best, know its just a front I put on. So when it comes to talking about me, there are probably better candidates capable of it.

I lived, for the longest time, what can only be described as, a normal life. Well... semi-normal. I've been living in bars since I was about 12... about 5 in all. I went to public school... or several of them. Nothing really extraordinary about me. That was until I got involved in science fiction. (Bear with me)

This is about the point it all changed for me. I'd forever seen websites and forums across the net, and I had decided to visit my first Star Trek forum to express my displeasure over the cancellation of the series (still with me?). I never considered myself a fan of Star Trek, or indeed science fiction, but I appreciate good TV when I see it, and I don't appreciate a guy in a suit pulling the plug from what was becoming a good series. So I got involved with TrekUnited, a website which, at the time, was dedicated to seeing the series return.

Soon after the main campaign to Save Star Trek had come to a close, raising $3.148 million, as well as a truck load in production deals (Paramount turned us down), I began to climb the ladder of TrekUnited. It turned into a very expensive hobbie, but it has generated some of my fondest memories at this early stage of my life, and I have made a lot of good friends.

One might say it even changed me as a person, at a time when I frankly had nothing better to do, and prompted me to make a number of changes in my life, for the better. A confidence boost was probably the most evident thing I have aquired through this journey. Between 2005 and the end of 2006, I had traveled to a number of places to meet with the people I had been working with, and to meet many of the faces of the friends I had made. Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Seattle, Indianapolis, Dallas and Atlanta now sit on the list of places I have visited since this journey began, as well as Bonn and Fulda in Germany. Traveling has since become a passion of mine, and I enjoy meeting people at the places I visit, and hopefully form long term friendships as a result.

Through this journey, of what started as a way to bring me out of a slump, I have made a number of contacts, and a number of job opportunities have come my way, which I hope to be able to talk about more when they finally come to fruition.

This is the story so far in the life of a Rooster, but fear not. This is, what I hope to be, merely the beginning. 2008 proves to get even more exciting, with opportunities knocking on every door. I hope to share these with you in the near future.

Be Magnificent! :D
